On Wednesday the 30th of November myself and my fellow members of my TY class, took a trip to the shore front for a balloon release. The balloon release was for domestic violence. We joined the campaign to raise awareness for domestic violence.
Domestic violence is the physical, emotional, sexual or mental abuse of one person by another within close, intimate or family relationship.
In most situations the abuser uses a range of abusive behaviours to gain and ensure power and control over the other person and these abusive actions often get worse over time. If you see domestic violence happening, tell someone it could help or save someones life.
